CM Engineering standardizes on Springsoft's Verdi Debug in Advanced Chip Verification Environment
YOKOHAMA, Japan, November 15, 2011 —SpringSoft, Inc., a global supplier of specialized IC design software, today announced that CM Engineering Co. Ltd. (CM Engineering) has adopted the Verdi™ Automated Debug System as its standard debug platform. By standardizing on Verdi debug, CM Engineering expects to dramatically improve verification efficiency in response to the escalating complexity and demand for third-party verification services.
CM Engineering deploys advanced chip design and verification methodologies and EDA technologies that enable its engineers to provide timely feedback on customer requirements and continuously improve the verification environment. SpringSoft’s Verdi software has been integrated into the company’s advanced verification flow, significantly increasing the productivity of CM Engineering engineers with best-in-class debug automation and streamlining communications across its diverse suite of tools with a single, unified interface.
“In order to meet the needs of large scale, complex SoCs, we continuously integrate advanced tools that enable the best possible performance and an industry-leading verification environment,” said Mr.Atsushi Kawai, president at CM Engineering. “Our adoption of Verdi builds on this foundation by accelerating debug and further enhancing the overall efficiency of our verification environment.”
“Increasing user productivity while keeping pace with growing verification complexity is a significant challenge, and one for which Verdi is ideally suited,” said Tomoyuki Kawarai, country manager in Japan for SpringSoft. “We appreciate the confidence of CM Engineering engineers in selecting Verdi. In addition, we look forward to helping them to expand their business operation with further leverage of Verdi’s strengths with our Certitude Functional Qualification to support assertion-based verification and Siloti Visibility Automation to improve simulation performance.”
The Verdi Automated Debug System is SpringSoft’s flagship product for advanced debug. It cuts debug time in half by automating the process of comprehending how complex IC and SoC designs work, particularly unfamiliar legacy design elements or third-party intellectual property. The full-featured system automates behavior tracing over time with its unique analysis engines, provides a powerful set of design views to visualize and help analyze cause-and-effect relationships, and uses patented techniques to reveal the functional operation and interaction between the design, assertions and system testbench.
Attendees at the Electronic Design and Solutions Fair 2011 can see first-hand demonstrations of the Verdi debug system in the SpringSoft K.K. Exhibit Booth #F-14. The event is being held November 16-18, 2011 at the Pacifico Yokohama and features industry-leading solutions covering semiconductor technology and systems design.
