AMIRIX Signs IP Cores Distribution Agreement with Wyle
HALIFAX, Nova Scotia, June 5, 2000 - AMIRIX Systems Inc. is pleased to announce a distribution agreement with Wyle Electronics. Wyle will now distribute AMIRIX's IP Core products. Wyle Electronics, a wholly-owned subsidiary of VEBA Electronics located in Santa Clara, CA., is a leading distributor of semiconductors and provider of value-added services. The Wyle linecard includes world suppliers that are market leaders in their respective technologies.
AMIRIX's customizable, easy-to-use IP core offerings include the:
- UTOPIA Level 2 Master IP Core, a configurable multi-PHY, bi-directional interface between a non-proprietary local bus and the PHY layer. It handles the polling and selection of the PHY addresses and provides flow control of the data in both octet and sell level;
- UTOPIA Level 2 Slave IP Core, a configurable multi-PHY, multi-clock domain, bi-directional interface between a non-proprietary local bus and the ATM layer. The megafunction works in octet or cell level and incorporates two rate matching FIFOs each with a cell depth of 4; and
- UTOPIA Level 3 Slave IP Core, a configurable multi-PHY, multi-clock domain, bi-directional interface between the UTOPIA Level 3 bus and a non-proprietary local. The core is targeted to Altera®'s new Apex[tm] devices using Quartus[tm].
AMIRIX IP Cores provide flexible interfacing options, easy interfacing to system and allows for synchronous design methodology, flexible system architecture, high bandwidth capability, and ease of interfacing data rates to the rest of the system. AMIRIX also offers a worldwide, royalty-free license to incorporate into specified Altera PLD products. Licensing Options include node locked, server (multi-node), and source code (Verilog). Support Options are also available.
