Silicon & Software Systems (S3) to provide DVB-H Software for Philips TV-on-Mobile Solution
– Silicon & Software Systems Ltd. (S3), a leading supplier of Mobile Digital TV Solutions, announced today that its onHandTV™ software will be used in Philips' TV-on-Mobile system solution. With TV on mobile, consumers can connect to live TV, as well as pictures, movies and music, all on the move.
S3's onHandTV™ provides a full IPDC over DVB-H software solution based on the emerging DVB-CBMS IP Datacast standard. onHandTV™ offers a complete solution, including Protocol Stacks, Middleware, and Applications, enabling accelerated time to market by delivering a low footprint, high performance, fully compliant software.

S3 has also announced it will join the Nexperia Partner Program which is now optimized for mobile. The program enables software vendors and integrators to deliver middleware, applications and reference designs to complement the company's Nexperia Mobile solutions such as the TV-on-Mobile solution.
Philips will showcase its TV-on-Mobile solution at the 3GSM World Congress, 14 – 17 February 2005 in Cannes, France.
