Server Benchmark Debuts at ARM Event

SAN JOSE, Calif. – A new benchmark for data center servers will be described at ARM Tech Con next month. ScaleMark aims to provide processor-agnostic performance metrics using typical workloads.
The effort comes at a time when ARM’s initiative to break into the market for servers is gaining traction with multiple companies now shipping designs. Qualcomm announced its plans last month, a China startup described an aggressive plan in August and Broadcom is expected to unveil its long-expected SoC at the ARM event.
