Palma Ceia SemiDesign to Showcase Complete NB-IoT Solution during Synopsys ARC Processor Summit in Beijing
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Nov. 11, 2019 — Palma Ceia SemiDesign, a provider of next-generation wireless connectivity solutions, today announced it will exhibit at the Synopsys ARC® Processor Summit in Beijing on November 13 at the Shangri La Hotel. Palma Ceia SemiDesign will feature its NB IoT modem solution, built in collaboration with Synopsys.
“Our collaboration with Synopsys delivered a complete, integrated NB-IoT solution consisting of our RF Transceiver IP and Synopsys’ ARC EM9D processor,” said Roy E. Jewell, president and CEO of Palma Ceia SemiDesign. “The combination of the Synopsys ARC Processor IP with Palma Ceia’s RF transceiver makes it possible for designers to implement a complete, low-power NB-IoT solution – faster and with reduced cost and risk.”
The Synopsys ARC Processor Summit features presentations and demos from Synopsys experts, ARC users and ARC ecosystem partners. Attendees will learn about general electronic market trends as well as specific ARC-based solutions for a broad spectrum of embedded domains including IoT, automotive safety, embedded vision and security.
The NB-IoT modem solution includes the Palma Ceia silicon-proven RF transceiver along with Synopsys’ ultra-low power ARC EM9D processor, which combines RISC and DSP capabilities for a flexible architecture that can be quickly adapted for rapidly changing wireless standards. The EM9D’s zero-latency XY memory architecture takes advantage of instruction level parallelism and single-cycle 16+16 MAC operations to deliver power-efficient data processing.
For more information and to register for the ARC Summit see the Synopsys website.
