Oak Technology Debugs HDTV System-on-a-Chip With LogicVision's Validator
Accelerates at-speed silicon debug of multit-million gate chip to days
San Jose, Calif. - March 19, 2003 - LogicVision, Inc., (NASDAQ:LGVN), a leading provider of embedded test for integrated circuits and systems, today announced that Oak Technology (NASDAQ: OAKT) has selected LogicVision's Validator desktop silicon debug station for at-speed debugging of its IC designs integrated with LogicVision's embedded test technology. LogicVision's Validator product and embedded test solutions are the most advanced and proven test technologies available to help companies achieve a faster time-to-market and lower manufacturing cost.
"Oak Technology is seeing strong demand for highly integrated System-on-a-Chip IC's for HDTV," said Alex Sinar, VP Operations for Oak's TeraLogic Group. "The unique combination of LogicVision's Embedded Test technology and the Validator enables us to perform at-speed debug of our multi-million gate chips in days instead of weeks and pinpoint manufacturing yield hazards for rapid analysis and corrective action. We believe this fast, advanced debug capability will help us maintain a leading edge in the market by delivering robust, highly complex devices to our customers in a timely manner."
"We are very pleased to have Oak Technology as a customer for our Validator product. Increasing adoption of the Validator underscores the interest we continue to see for our embedded test solutions. Competitive advantages of reduced manufacturing costs and reduced time to market that embedded test can provide have been key value propositions for our customers," said Mukesh Mowji, LogicVision's vice president sales and marketing. "We look forward to expanding our relationship with Oak Technology."
