Low-cost RF tuner for DAB / T-DMB, FM and GPS applications is highly integrated and does not need external SAW filter. Integrated with LNAs, RF / BB AGC, down conversion quadrature mixers, RF / IF power detectors and Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI), programmable multiple bandwidth channel filters, VCO, PLL, and crystal reference. An RF AGC controller with built-in algorithm was designed to optimize noise or linearity performance in various receiving environment. 3-wire SPI or I2C can be used for easy communication between base-band chip and RF tuner.
