ADS-B 978 MHz (UAT) Receiver

ADS-B (UAT) receiver offers a comprehensive solution for the reception of flight, traffic and weather information.

Overview

ADS-B (UAT) receiver offers a comprehensive solution for the reception of flight, traffic and weather information. Compatible with all FPGA, SoC and ASIC devices, the circuit has been design proven and field tested, clocking over 500 flight hours. Complies with the RTCA DO-282B.

Key features

  • Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast ADS-B (UAT) Receiver
  • Compatible with the UAT specification operating at 978 MHz (RTCA DO-282B)
  • Decodes all UAT messages including: GROUND, LONG and SHORT
  • Reception of all weather and traffic information (e.g. FIS-B and TIS-B)
  • Decodes all ground uplink weather information (e.g. NEXRAD, METARs, TAFs, PIREPs, TFRs)
  • Configurable FSK demodulator permits both baseband and IF operation
  • Precision channel filter with programmable bandwidth settings
  • Reed-Solomon decoder detects and corrects errors in the received messages
  • System parameters may be modified on request (e.g. sample frequency, IF frequency, user I/O)
  • Flexible choice of output message interfaces such as: UART, SPI, AXI4-stream or fully custom
  • Design proven and field tested with over 500 accumulated flight hours
  • IP Core is provided as generic VHDL source-code suitable for FPGA, SoC and ASIC
  • Note: we can also offer this core as a combined 978 MHz (UAT) and 1090 MHz (ES) receiver

H.264 High Profile: Codec for Broadcast & Professional Video Application

High definition video content is becoming rampant as more and more countries are now transitioning into digital life. The ways to deliverHigh definition content in a bandwidth limited channel have become challenge in itself. To cater to such highly demanding broadcast & professional video markets, we require a compression / decompression standard that allows no compromise on the quality of the video that has to be broadcasted over a bandwidth constrained networks.

Low Power Transport Demultiplexer for ATSC and DVB Broadcast Format

In this paper, we developed low power transport demultiplexer to support MPEG-2 transport streams for ATSC and DVB digital broadcast standards. Novel window based packet identification (PID) and section filtering is presented to provide a cost effective and flexible solution.
