Overview

Securyzr™ IDS is an Intrusion Detection System software module, embedded in the device to protect and part of the Secure-IC threat detection, analysis, and response solution framework. It uses rules and AI methodology.

Following XDR (eXtended Detection and Response) model, SCZ_HSI_IDS monitors several aspects of device security:
• CPU Activity
• Memory activity
• Network traffic (CAN bus, Ethernet…)
• Device components such as a Secure-IC Securyzr™ integrated Secure Element (iSE)
• Sensors and more

Securyzr™ IDS is adaptable to monitor any component of the device, provided the Host is capable of collecting information and relaying it through the OS.

Key features

  • Threat Detection:
    • Data collection coming from Host CPU buses, sensors, and Securyzr™ iSE Digital Sensor & Active Shield.
    • Configurable (collection frequency, type of data, data format…)
    • Data can be processed locally for optimized transfer to the Cloud and used to update the models used by AI.
  • Threat Analysis:
    • Relying on Rule Based AI Methodology to better discriminate alerts and eliminate false positive alerts. AI models stored in the edge device can be updated as part of device life cycle management.
  • Threat Response:
    • Immediate local threat response based on pre-defined rules.
    • Part of a global threat detection, analysis and response solution form Chip-to-Cloud relying on Securyzr™ iSSP (integrated Security Services Platform).
    • Compliance with standard and Regulation.

Security in vehicular systems

With the advent of IoT and increasingly interconnected and autonomous nature of a vehicle’s control modules, there has been an exponential increase in V2V, V2X and inter vehicular communications. This in turn increases the attack surface for hackers which demands state-of-art security features in modern automotive microcontrollers, moreover safety and security go hand in hand.

A Comprehensive Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) Solution based on Physical Unclonable Function (PUF)

This article provides an in-depth analysis of the specific PPA challenges introduced by PQC and elucidates how PUF-PQC leverages its unique dualtrack strategy to deliver a robust and flexible Hardware Root of Trust (HRoT) across diverse application scenarios. Furthermore, it demonstrates the integration of Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) with a NIST SP 800-90B compliant True Random Number Generator (TRNG) to serve as critical components of PUFrt (Root of Trust), ensuring the security of post-quantum key generation starting from the entropy source.
