Overview

To transfer the sensor data with minimal software and hardware, FLIR has developed the VoSPI protocol, an SPI based Video Interface. BitSim has developed Bit-VoSPI Rx, an FPGA IP for receiving video data.

This IP implements custom logic to receive the data through the SPI interface, extracts the video data and sends the data out through AXI4-Stream interface. This IP is configurable to different resolutions, easy to instantiate in FPGA designs.

If you add a MIPI CSI-Tx IP from BitSim NOW, you can use the IR-sensor data with modern SoC:s with MIPI CSI-2 inputs.

Benefits

  • Now you can use IR-sensors not using the MIPI CSI-2-interface seamless with SoC:s from NXP (i.MX6/8), Nvidia, Qualcomm and others.
