Overview

The AR37T01 is a digitally coded stereo PCM-to-PDM conversion IP with 8-bit pattern-code programming.

The IP translates parallel PCM input data into single-bit digital switching pulse-density modulated (PDM) output. The IP converts stereo audio data through ?? modulator and filters. The 1-bit PDM output can drive off-chip stand-alone PDM-type amplifier with high power-efficiency.

The IP is portable to any logic process node for silicon realization. It is now silicon-proven in TSMC16nm and 28nm logic processes.

Leverage always-on voice trigger IP to reach ultra-low power consumption in voice-controlled devices

Due to the lack of thorough specifications to assess the performance of voice detection solutions, it is a real conundrum for users to evaluate the best solution among a jungle of true and false detection claims and without any benchmark. ?The aim of this article is to help IP procurement managers, SoC architects and system makers using voice detection IP in their systems to assess and compare the detection performances.

Building a high-performance, low-power audio/voice subsystem

With the growing popularity of applications such as mobile gaming and voice triggering, the audio/voice subsystem is playing a prominent role in many mobile system-on-chip (SoC) designs. The subsystem must be designed to meet dual demands: high-performance, high-resolution audio stream processing as well as always-on, low-power voice trigger and recognition. Customizable digital signal processing (DSP) and audio/voice subsystem solution intellectual property (IP) blocks can provide a cost-effective and efficient way to develop and deliver high-performance audio/voice products.
