Our mission is to provide a platform in which the electronics industry can collaborate to deliver global standards.
About us
Accellera Systems Initiative is an independent, not-for profit organization dedicated to create, support, promote, and advance system-level design, modeling, and verification standards for use by the worldwide electronics industry. We are composed of a broad range of members that fully support the work of our technical committee to develop technology standards that are balanced, open, and benefit the worldwide electronics industry. Leading companies and semiconductor manufacturers around the world are using our electronic design automation (EDA) and intellectual property (IP) standards in a wide range of projects in numerous application areas to develop consumer, mobile, wireless, automotive, and other “smart” electronic devices. Through an ongoing partnership with the IEEE, standards and technical implementations developed by Accellera Systems Initiative are contributed to the IEEE for formal standardization and ongoing governance.

🚀 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻! 🚀 Accellera has announced the latest revision of IEEE 1801™-2024, the IEEE Standard for Design and Verification of Low-Power Energy-Aware Electronic Systems, also known as the Unified Power Format (UPF) 4.0, published by the IEEE. 🌟 Fee-free access to the standard is provided courtesy of Accellera Systems Initiative. In my latest blog post, I offer a short list of the enhancements to UPF 4.0, including: • 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗨𝗣𝗙 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗛𝗗𝗟 𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗲𝘀 using Value Conversion Methods (VCMs) and tunneling. • 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀 for non-intrusive power intent updates in bottom-up verification flows. • 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 for more detailed control over save/restore conditions. • 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘃𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 to improve power intent representation. These updates address the growing complexity of low-power electronic design, equipping designers with the tools needed to tackle today's power challenges. 🌍 Congratulations to the IEEE P1801 Working Group and leadership for completing this important revision and a shout out to our Siemens colleague, Gabriel Chidolue, who is the Siemens representative on the committee! Job well done, everyone! ✅ 🔗 Read the full blog post for more details. #IEEE1801 #Verification #Accellera #TechInnovation #LowPower #IndustryNews

Accellera’s Federated Simulation Standard (FSS) White Paper now available! Different industries such as semiconductors, automotive, aerospace, etc. are tackling modeling and simulation challenges in silos, leading to fragmented and incompatible standards. FSS aims to bridge these gaps by establishing a cross-industry framework for interoperability, integration, and reuse of simulation technologies. With a standardized and open infrastructure, FSS will enable a seamless, distributed simulation ecosystem.
